Silver Tempest arrived in late 2022 as one of Pokémon TCG's final sets before the Scarlet and Violet era. Released during the sustained collecting boom following the pandemic surge, it offered players and collectors a chance to pursue high-quality cards with modern printings and compelling artwork. The set became known for its full-art supporters and striking Pokémon illustrations that exemplified contemporary card design. Gordie appears as a full-art supporter card, rendered with the dynamic illustration style that defined Silver Tempest's visual identity. As a character tied to Pokémon Sword and Shield's setting, Gordie appeals to trainers of the game era while his card's composition and detail make it a natural target for collectors pursuing complete full-art supporter collections from this set.
