Team Rocket marked a significant shift in the Pokémon TCG, introducing the franchise's first villain-themed expansion in 2000. Rather than celebrating trainers and their teams, this set centered on the iconic antagonists, complete with reversed holofoil patterns and darker aesthetics. It remains a landmark release that deepened the game's storytelling and broadened player engagement beyond the original three sets. Oddish appears here as a classic Grass-type from the original 151, rendered in Team Rocket's distinctive visual style. The card captures the character's curious nature while fitting the set's edgier tone. Collectors value these early Pokémon representations for their historical significance and nostalgia, particularly first editions that mark the set's initial print run.
