Team Rocket marked a bold departure for the Pokémon Company in 2000, introducing a villainous theme that challenged the series' traditional narrative. As the third major expansion set, it brought fresh energy to an already booming market and remains a cornerstone of early Pokémon TCG collecting. First Edition printings are particularly prized, representing the initial wave of distribution before unlimited versions flooded the market. Zubat, the iconic purple bat Pokémon, appears throughout the series but holds special appeal in Team Rocket's darker aesthetic. This card captures the character's mischievous nature while fitting perfectly within the set's Team Rocket storyline. Collectors seek early printings of common and uncommon cards like this one as foundational pieces of their vintage collections.
