Wizard Magazine's 1996 Chromium series represented a pivotal moment in card collecting when premium foil and special finishes defined the hobby's peak era. These cards married chromium technology with pop culture properties, creating crossover appeal beyond traditional sports cards. The series became emblematic of mid-90s collecting enthusiasm and the industry's experimental approach to materials and design. Shi, the acclaimed comic character, appears here rendered in striking chromium form. The character's distinctive visual design translates powerfully to this special format, capturing the aesthetic that made both the character and this card series memorable to collectors. Her inclusion reflects the series' focus on compelling comic and entertainment properties during an era when such partnerships drove significant collector interest.
