Pokemon Black Bolt stands as a significant Japanese set release in 2025, continuing the franchise's tradition of delivering thematic expansions with compelling artwork and gameplay mechanics. The reverse holo treatment became increasingly sought after during this era as collectors appreciated the alternative aesthetics it offered compared to standard holos, blending modern card design with nostalgia for earlier collecting approaches. Foongus, the fungal Pokemon, appears as card 10 in this release with artwork capturing the character's distinctive mushroom-like appearance and peculiar charm. Collectors are drawn to this card for its appealing reverse holo finish, which gives the entire card surface a shimmering quality that beautifully complements the creature's organic design and unusual appeal within the Pokemon roster.
