The One Piece 2nd Anniversary Box represents a significant milestone for the trading card game during the early wave of global TCG expansion in 2024. Chinese regional releases became increasingly important as the hobby diversified beyond traditional markets, offering collectors localized versions of sought-after products. Anniversary sets typically feature enhanced production values and exclusive artwork treatments, making them memorable releases that defined the competitive and collecting landscape of their era. Marshall D. Teach, known as Blackbeard, stands among One Piece's most compelling antagonists, and foil versions of key characters from these special sets attract dedicated collectors. The ST17-005 designation marks this as a notable pull, with the character's strategic importance in the series reflected in the card's desirability. Collectors appreciate anniversary foils for their visual presentation and the prestige of owning special regional variants.
