The Memorial Collection represents a significant milestone in the One Piece Trading Card Game's Japanese release strategy. As an extra booster set from 2024, it celebrates iconic characters and moments from the franchise's extensive history, offering collectors a curated selection of rare cards outside the standard set rotation. This type of release has become increasingly important for maintaining collector engagement and providing access to sought-after characters in premium formats. Spandine appears in this set as a character card capturing one of the series' memorable antagonists. Collectors pursue cards of supporting cast members like Spandine for their role in key story arcs and the artwork's ability to commemorate these pivotal narrative moments. Character diversity across a collection reflects the breadth of the One Piece world.
