EX Sandstorm arrived in 2003 as part of the Pokémon Trading Card Game's EX era, a pivotal period that introduced powerful Stage 2 Pokémon-ex cards and reshaped competitive play. This set is remembered for its desert-themed artwork and crucial tournament staples that defined the metagame for years. The EX series revitalized collector interest during a dynamic chapter of the game's history, when holographic cards and rare pulls drove secondary market enthusiasm. Raichu ex represents the evolution line's competitive peak, capturing the electric mouse's final form with striking artwork. As a Stage 2 evolution, it demanded deck-building commitment but rewarded players with high damage output and interesting attack effects. Collectors seek this card for its place in Raichu's legacy and as a gateway to understanding early 2000s competitive deck construction.
