Hidden Fates: Shiny Vault arrived in late 2019 as a premium collection celebrating full-art alternate shiny versions of beloved Pokémon. The set became a turning point in modern collecting, reintroducing the hobby's mainstream appeal through carefully curated, chase-worthy pull rates. Its release sparked renewed interest in Pokémon TCG after years of declining visibility, ultimately helping establish the conditions for the hobby's explosive growth in subsequent years. Wimpod's shiny form presents the small crustacean Pokémon in striking gold and silver tones against a dynamic full-art background. Collectors pursue this card for its eye-catching aesthetic and representation of the Shiny Vault's philosophy—transforming humble, less-celebrated creatures into premium collectibles. The holo treatment amplifies the card's visual appeal across the entire surface.
