Hidden Fates arrived in late 2019 as a curated subset emphasizing the Shiny Vault—a collection of full-art Shiny Pokémon that captured collector enthusiasm at a pivotal moment. This set represented a shift toward premium special editions, where scarcity and visual appeal drove secondary market interest. The Shiny Vault concept proved influential, establishing a template that The Pokémon Company would revisit across subsequent releases. Beldum's Shiny form displays striking visual contrast—its metallic body rendered in an arresting alternate coloration that stands apart from the standard design. Collectors appreciate how the full-art presentation showcases the transformation, making Shiny variants from this era particularly sought after by those building comprehensive Shiny collections or focused on specific Pokédex entries.
