Shining Fates arrived in early 2021 as a landmark set for the Pokémon TCG community. Released during peak pandemic collecting fever, it became one of the most sought-after modern releases, celebrated for its beautiful full-art cards and the reintroduction of the beloved Shining Pokémon mechanic from the classic Neo Genesis era. The Shiny Vault subset within the set featured alternate colorways of popular creatures, drawing collectors eager to complete rainbow collections. Rookidee represents the charm of this set perfectly—a small, unassuming bird Pokémon rendered in its shiny variant with appealing artwork and holographic treatment. Collectors appreciate Rookidee for its place within broader shiny collecting goals and as a charming addition to focused collections of this iconic modern release.
