Shining Fates arrived in early 2021 as a boutique companion set alongside Battle Styles, bringing premium products and chase cards when the Pokemon TCG was experiencing explosive renewed interest. The Shiny Vault subset became instantly iconic, offering collectors their first major opportunity to pull shiny versions of popular Pokemon in the modern era. This focused, high-demand release helped define 2021's collecting landscape and remains fondly remembered for its accessibility and visual appeal. Galarian Mr. Mime's psychic elegance translates beautifully to shiny form, with its pale coloring creating a striking contrast to the standard version. The Shiny Vault presentation elevates this already distinctive Pokemon, making it a natural draw for both Galarian form enthusiasts and collectors pursuing complete shiny collections from the set.
