Hidden Legends arrived in 2004 as a smaller supplemental set during the Pokémon TCG's EX era, a period defined by high-powered cards and premium artwork. These sets filled gaps between major releases and often featured alternative takes on classic Pokémon, making them treasured by collectors seeking variety and unique illustrations beyond the standard lineup. Vulpix remains a perennial favorite among fire-type enthusiasts and those drawn to the fox Pokémon's elegant design. Its appearance in Hidden Legends captures the character in a moment collectors have long appreciated, contributing to this set's enduring appeal among those building comprehensive collections of iconic first-generation Pokémon.
