Paldean Fates emerged in 2024 as a landmark set celebrating the Scarlet and Violet generation. This collection marked a significant moment in the hobby by introducing Shiny Rare variants at scale, giving collectors alternate artwork versions of beloved Pokémon alongside traditional pulls. The set energized the community by balancing accessibility with chase cards, making it a cornerstone release for modern era collectors. Glimmet, the crystalline Rock-type from Paldea's caves, appears here in its shiny form with distinctive coloring that transforms its gem-like appearance. The artwork captures the Pokémon's luminescent beauty, making it particularly appealing to collectors who favor visually striking alternate versions and those building complete shiny collections from this generation.
