Panini Chronicles Pinnacle represents one of the final releases from Panini Sports before the company's departure from the NBA card market in 2023. The set draws from Panini's extensive archive, combining designs from different eras to create a retrospective collection. Chronicles Pinnacle became a notable release during the industry's transition period, offering collectors a chance to acquire fresh rookie cards during uncertain times for the hobby's licensing landscape. Chet Holmgren's 2022 rookie card captures the arrival of a generational prospect to the NBA. Drafted second overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder, Holmgren brought elite defensive potential and shooting range to his position. Collectors pursued his rookie cards across all major releases, and this Pinnacle issue remains a cornerstone representation of his card debut.
