Panini Donruss The Rookies captured the 2022 draft class during a pivotal moment in basketball card collecting. Released as part of Panini's final year before losing the NBA license, this set became historically significant—a farewell to a brand that had defined modern card design. Collectors appreciated the accessible pricing and clean aesthetic that made The Rookies an entry point for newer fans and a practical choice for building collections around the league's incoming talent. Chet Holmgren's rookie card from this set documents one of the draft's most intriguing prospects. Known for his length and defensive potential with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Holmgren represented the kind of high-ceiling player that makes rookie collecting compelling. This card remains a solid foundation piece for anyone tracking his career trajectory or assembling a complete 2022 class portfolio.
