Panini NBA Hoops represented the final chapter of Panini's American basketball card production before losing their NBA license. Released in 2022, the set captured a transitional moment in the hobby—one of the last opportunities to collect official NBA cards from the legendary manufacturer. Hoops maintained the brand's signature style of accessible, vibrant designs that appealed to both serious collectors and casual fans throughout its three-decade run. Chet Holmgren's rookie card in this set documents his entry into professional basketball following his selection in the 2022 NBA Draft. As a highly anticipated prospect known for his defensive versatility and shot-blocking ability, Holmgren's early cards attracted immediate collector interest. This card preserves his beginning, making it a natural destination for those tracking his career trajectory.
