Panini Haunted Hoops Tribute emerged during the brand's final years producing NBA cards before losing their license. Released in 2024, this set represented a nostalgic celebration of Panini's legacy, blending horror-themed aesthetics with basketball tradition. The Rookie Orange parallels were among the set's most coveted chase cards, offering collectors vibrant, limited alternatives to base versions during an era when hobby interest remained intensely focused on emerging talent. Zach Edey's rookie card captures the seven-footer at the threshold of his NBA career following his standout college run. Collectors gravitate toward his early Panini releases as foundational pieces of his collecting timeline, particularly the visually striking orange parallels that stand apart in any collection.
