Panini Haunted Hoops emerged during a transformative period for modern basketball cards, blending alternative aesthetics with rookie collecting. Released as Panini's final NBA offerings before losing the license, this set captured a unique moment in the hobby when collectors embraced darker, unconventional designs that stood apart from traditional releases. The orange parallel variant represents the premium chase cards collectors pursued from boxes and packs during this era. Rob Dillingham's rookie card from this set appeals to collectors building contemporary guard collections and those invested in the 2024 draft class. The haunted-themed artwork creates striking visual appeal while the orange coloring adds vibrancy and rarity. As with all rookie parallels from this period, interest stems from both the player's emerging NBA trajectory and the set's significance as a final Panini release.
