Card Notes
The Mega Evolution pre-release staff promos represent a fascinating chapter in modern Pokémon TCG history, distributed exclusively to tournament organizers and staff members during the Mega Evolution set's launch period. These black star promos occupy a unique space—official releases with genuine scarcity, creating natural appeal for set builders and those seeking complete collections from this pivotal era of the trading card game. Alakazam's psychic prowess and iconic evolution line have made it a consistent favorite across generations of Pokémon fans. This promotional version captures the character in its Mega form, and the staff-exclusive nature of these black star promos draws collectors interested in tournament history and official Pokémon Company distribution variants that remain challenging to locate.
