The Kingdoms of Intrigue set marked a significant moment in the One Piece TCG's growing popularity among Western collectors. Released in 2023, it continued Bandai's expansion of the franchise into the trading card market with compelling character selections and distinctive artwork treatments. The set's alternate art cards became particularly sought after, representing the creative heights the game was reaching during this period of growth and increased collector engagement. Trebol, as a Donquixote Family antagonist, carries narrative weight from One Piece's most dramatic arcs. This alternate art rendering captures the character with the detailed illustration work that defines the set's premium cards. Collectors value these variations for their artistic interpretation and relative scarcity compared to standard versions, making them centerpieces in focused character or villain collections.
