Panini NBA Hoops represents the final era of the company's basketball card production before losing its NBA license. Released in 2024, it carried the familiar appeal of Hoops' straightforward design philosophy—bold colors, clean layouts, and accessible collecting that defined the brand for decades. The set became notably significant as a collector farewell to an institution that shaped modern card design and hobby culture. Anthony Edwards appears in this set during an exciting phase of his NBA career with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Collectors gravitate toward Edwards cards from this period as his profile continues rising, making earlier Hoops issues increasingly sought after. This particular card captures him during a compelling moment in his development as a player and personality in the league.
