Panini's 2024 Donruss Rated Rookie Preview set marked the company's final NFL release before losing the league license. The blue cracked ice Prizm parallel became a collector favorite during this era, prized for its distinctive refracted finish and limited availability compared to base versions. These preview sets captured emerging talent in their inaugural seasons, establishing early collecting narratives around prospects before their professional careers unfolded. Kel'el Ware represents the defensive prospects highlighted in this preview collection. Collectors pursue cards of promising young defenders, particularly those from premium parallels like cracked ice, as they offer visual appeal while commemorating a player's earliest officially licensed cardboard. For many, securing these inaugural releases became part of documenting a prospect's journey through the NFL.
