Panini Select has long been a flagship set in basketball card collecting, prized for its innovative designs and premium finishes. The 2024 release continued this tradition during an era when Panini's NBA licenses were concluding, making their final offerings particularly significant to collectors. Select's signature multi-layered aesthetics and textured card stocks defined the modern hobby's approach to visual appeal and craftsmanship. Trae Young remains one of basketball's most electric playmakers, and his cards capture the intensity of his high-octane style of play. The Blue Cracked Ice Prizm finish adds striking visual drama—a shattered ice effect that shifts and gleams under light. Collectors seek Young's cards from premium sets like Select for both the player's star power and the artistic presentation that these special finishes provide.
