Donruss remained a cornerstone of the modern trading card landscape in 2022, delivering flagship designs that balanced nostalgia with contemporary appeal. The Yellow Press Proof parallels represented premium variations within the set, offering collectors alternate colorways that highlighted the brand's commitment to creative variation during an era when parallels had become central to collecting strategy. Darren Waller's inclusion in Donruss captured him during his years with the Las Vegas Raiders, a period when the tight end was among football's most electric playmakers. Collectors pursue press proof parallels for their distinctive aesthetic and relative scarcity compared to base issues, making them natural targets for player collectors and those building complete parallel sets.
