Dragon Ball Super Ultimate Squad arrived during the trading card game's resurgence in the early 2020s, when Dragon Ball properties experienced renewed collector enthusiasm across multiple TCG formats. The set captured the modern anime era while drawing veteran collectors who remembered earlier Dragon Ball card releases. Ultimate Squad established itself as a solid mid-tier offering, balancing accessible pull rates with compelling character selections that appealed to both competitive players and set builders alike. Piccolo, the Namekian strategist and reformed villain, remains a character with devoted fans across all Dragon Ball generations. This card presents him as a Z Fighter—a meaningful character classification that resonates with those who value his transformation from antagonist to trusted ally. Piccolo cards consistently draw collector interest given his role as both a memorable villain and essential hero throughout the franchise's timeline.
