Breakthrough arrived in late 2015 as a landmark set in the Pokemon TCG's XY era, introducing the BREAK mechanic that allowed players to evolve their Pokemon in entirely new ways. The set emphasized competitive playability while delivering striking full-art cards and competitive staples that shaped the tournament landscape for months to come. Its blend of accessibility and depth made it beloved by both casual collectors and serious players. Raikou, the legendary Thunder Pokemon, appears here in its classic holo presentation with dynamic artwork capturing the creature's fierce, electric nature. Collectors seek legendary Pokemon cards for their iconic status and enduring appeal, and Raikou's appearance in Breakthrough represents a pivotal moment in the card's modern printings, making it a natural centerpiece for enthusiasts building complete sets or legendary collections.
