Burning Shadows arrived in 2017 during an era when the Pokémon TCG was experiencing renewed collector interest following years of relative dormancy. The set marked an important bridge between older vintage enthusiasts and newer players discovering the hobby, offering strong pull rates and memorable full-art cards that helped reignite passion for modern collecting. Gyarados has always captivated collectors as one of Pokémon's most iconic evolution lines. This holo version captures the fierce dragon-like presence that makes the character instantly recognizable, drawing both longtime fans of the original generation and players who value powerful water-type threats in competitive formats.
