Obsidian Flames arrived in 2023 as a standard set release during Pokémon TCG's continued expansion phase. The era saw sustained collector interest across vintage and modern cards alike, with each new release offering fresh artwork and gameplay mechanics. This set contributed to that ongoing momentum, appealing to both competitive players and those building collections around popular Pokémon. Charizard ex #125 features one of the franchise's most iconic creatures in its evolved form. The card captures the dragon's commanding presence, and as an ex-designation card, it carried competitive significance. Charizard consistently draws collectors regardless of era or set, making any strong illustration of the character a natural focal point for enthusiasts.
