Garbage Pail Kids stickers dominated the late 1980s as the irreverent counterpoint to mainstream collectibles. Topps' series captured the era's anything-goes humor with crude, memorable artwork that appealed equally to kids trading on playgrounds and adults amused by the satire. The 1987 releases remain foundational to the hobby, representing peak creativity before the franchise's explosion into mainstream nostalgia. Card 270a presents one of the series' darker gags with characteristically sharp illustration and bold coloring. Cannibal Stu exemplifies the line between shock value and genuine creative ambition that made these stickers culturally significant. Collectors seek out entries like this one for their unfiltered personality and the snapshot they provide of late-80s pop culture irreverence.
