Garbage Pail Kids Stickers defined irreverent humor in the 1980s, transforming the trading card landscape with parody and satire. Topps' wildly popular series became a cultural phenomenon, beloved by children and eventually collected seriously by adults. The stickers' crude artwork and absurdist wordplay captured the era's anti-establishment spirit while establishing GPK as one of the decade's most iconic collectibles. Squashed Josh exemplifies the series' darkly comedic appeal, offering the grotesque visual gags that made GPK stickers instant classics. The card's memorable imagery and punny title showcase why collectors have maintained passion for these pieces across generations, treating them as legitimate artifacts of pop culture history rather than mere novelties.
