Signature comparison
This card. The signature as cropped from the slab photo (front).
Below, the known examples Crown compared it with. Examples with stronger proof (signed in front of staff, or certified by an independent authenticator) carry the most weight.
Feature by feature
| Feature | This card | Known examples | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Overall form and proportions | Abbreviated two-part signature: a compressed zigzag 'M' with a trailing small loop, a gap, then a tall 'P' with a long descender and a terminal crossing stroke. Written along the card's long axis. | R1–R8 all show the same abbreviated structure: a zigzag/'N'-like M with a small trailing loop, a gap, and a P-form ending in a 't'-like cross. R5 and R6 are the most compressed. | Match |
| Slant and baseline | Signature runs vertically up the right margin. Relative to its own axis, it has a moderate forward slant and a fairly straight baseline. | Moderate rightward slant with a slightly rising baseline in R1, R2, R4 and R8. R3 and R5 are flatter. | Natural variation |
| Letter construction | M is built as angular peaks followed by a small looped 'l/e' form. The P has a tall upright, a looping bowl, and a descender that drops below the baseline. | Same construction in R1, R7 and R8: angular M peaks, a small loop, and a P with a descender (pronounced in R1). The P bowl is sometimes open (R4, R6). | Match |
| Connecting strokes | M and its trailing loop are connected. A clear lift separates the first-name mark from the P. | Consistent lift between the M-group and the P-group in every reference. | Match |
| Starting and ending strokes | Starts with a short lead-in into the first M peak. Ends with a crossing stroke above the final letters that appears to taper. | Lead-in hook into the M and a terminal horizontal 't'-cross, extended and tapered in R1, R2 and R8. | Match |
| Line quality and speed | Strokes appear fluid with tapered ends at this resolution. No visible tremor or blunt stops, though the crop is low resolution. | Fast, confident strokes throughout R1–R8. | Match |
| Pen pressure pattern | Some line-width variation, with darker edges on the green ink. Exact pressure cannot be reliably read from the image. | Moderate variation in marker/paint-pen strokes. R4 is a comparable green-ink example. | Not assessable |
| Spacing | Compact M-group, a moderate gap, then the P-group. | Same grouping and gap ratio across the references. | Match |
| Flourishes and underlines | No underline. The terminal crossing stroke is the only flourish. | No underlines. The terminal cross stroke is the only flourish. | Match |
| Placement and size | Rotated 90° and signed vertically along the right side of the artwork, beside the logo and figure. Medium-large relative to the card. | References are shown as crops, so orientation on the card is unknown. Size is comparable. Artist autos on these open-edition stickers are placed freely over the artwork. | Natural variation |
Examiner notes
Our card is a 2024 Mutagen Canister Kids Stickers Open Edition artist auto, a sister release to the Nintendopes Stickers Open Edition autos (R2–R8) and close in time to the Magic Marker Art Horrorible Kids Series 9 auto (R1). All references appear to be from the same recent 2023–2024 window of Pingitore's self-issued artist-signed product. Era drift should therefore be minimal, and the abbreviated 'M + P-stroke' form seen across the references is the expected current form.
How Crown authenticates autographs: the signature is compared with known examples gathered from Crown's own authenticated cards, independent authenticators and public listings, measured by software, examined by an AI forensic model, and signed off by Crown Grading staff. The decision above is Crown's.
