Handwriting

Printed or copied?
At this resolution there is no visible printed dot or halftone pattern within the signature strokes. The ink appears to sit on top of the printed artwork, with density variation consistent with a hand-applied marker. The vertical placement off the art's composition argues against a factory facsimile. A loupe check is still required to confirm live ink.

Feature by feature

FeatureThis cardKnown examplesResult
Overall form and proportionsRotated, it reads as a three-part abbreviated signature: an angular zigzag initial, a looped tall-stemmed P-group, and a long terminal stroke. Total length is roughly 40% of card height.R1–R8 show the same three-part abbreviation: a sharp zigzag 'M' with a small trailing loop, a gap, a tall 'P' with descending 'g'-like loop, and an extended 't' crossbar.Match
Slant and baselineSigned bottom-to-top along the card's right edge. Relative to its own writing line the baseline is fairly straight, with a slight rise toward the terminal.Horizontal, with a mild rightward slant and a gently rising baseline.Natural variation
Letter constructionPointed zigzag initial with sharp apices. The P-group shows a tall upstroke with a closed loop. Detail is limited by the crop's resolution.Initial 'M' is built as a sharp N/M zigzag with a long first downstroke. The 'P' is a tall stem with a bowl, followed by a looped lower element.Match
Connecting strokesPen lift between the initial and surname group; the surname group is largely connected.Consistent pen lift between first-name and surname groups; surname group connected.Match
Starting and ending strokesEnds in a long straight stroke toward the top of the card, matching the extended crossbar or terminal. Starts are not blunt as far as visible.Long, fast terminal crossbar extending well beyond the letter bodies (most pronounced in R1, R5, R6, R7).Match
Line quality and speedStrokes appear fluid with tapered ends and no obvious tremor, at the available resolution.Fast, confident marker strokes with tapered terminals.Match
Pen pressure patternBlue ink with some density variation along the strokes. It does not look uniformly flat.Variable density typical of a felt or paint marker; the R references are blue or black.Natural variation
SpacingClear gap between the initial and surname group, proportionate to the references.Clear gap between the 'M' group and the 'P' group.Match
Flourishes and underlinesNo underline; the extended terminal stroke is the only flourish. No underlines; the extended 't' bar is the signature flourish.Match
Placement and sizePlaced vertically on the right margin, overlapping the artwork and the logo edge.Placed across the artwork, typically overlapping printed imagery. All references are horizontal.Natural variation

Examiner notes

Our card is a 2024 Mutagen Canister Kids sticker from Pingitore's self-published Magic Marker Art parody line. All eight references come from the same contemporary period (2023–2024 Nintendopes Open Edition and Horrorible Kids Series 9) and the same artist-signed product family. Era drift should be minimal. Ours is signed vertically along the right edge rather than horizontally, so it has to be read rotated about 90°.

  • The crop is small, low resolution and rotated, which limits stroke-level analysis (hesitation, retouching, halftone).
  • This is a short, simple abbreviated signature, which is relatively easy to imitate. Image comparison alone cannot separate a skilled simulation from a genuine one.
  • No witnessed, manufacturer-certified or third-party-authenticated references are available. All eight are Crown-reviewed only.

How Crown authenticates autographs: the signature is compared with known examples gathered from Crown's own authenticated cards, independent authenticators and public listings, measured by software, examined by an AI forensic model, and signed off by Crown Grading staff. The decision above is Crown's.
