Printed or copied?
At the available resolution, no printed dot or halftone pattern, overly uniform density, or facsimile-style placement is seen. Ink density varies naturally with stroke direction, and the vertical placement on the left margin looks like a hand-placed signature, not a printed element. However, a scan cannot confirm live ink or whether the ink sits above the sticker's gloss layer. Physical inspection is required.
Decision
Authenticated by Crown Grading after staff review.

FeatureThis cardKnown examplesResult
Overall form and proportionsAbbreviated 'M Pgto'-type form: angular zigzag M with trailing 'l'-like stroke, gap, looped P, compressed remaining letters, long horizontal terminalR1–R8 all show the same two-unit abbreviated structure with the same relative proportions; R1 is the largest and most expansiveMatch
Slant and baselineModerate right slant; baseline rises slightly into the P, then runs flat along the terminal strokeSame rightward slant and level-to-slightly-rising baseline in R2, R3, R5, R8; R4 and R6 a bit more uprightNatural variation
Letter constructionM made as a rapid sawtooth with a tall left stem; P formed with a descending stem and an upper bowl looping into the following lettersIdentical M sawtooth and P bowl-and-stem construction in R1, R2, R3, R5, R8; R7 shows a more compressed PMatch
Connecting strokesM connected to its trailing stroke; pen lift before P; P connects through the remaining letters into the terminalSame lift between first and second units and same continuous P-to-terminal connection across referencesMatch
Starting and ending strokesClean entry at top of M stem; ends in a long, tapering horizontal stroke to the rightR1, R2, R3, R5, R8 show the same tapered horizontal finish; R4 and R6 slightly shorterMatch
Line quality and speedFluid, confident strokes with no visible tremor, hesitation or blunt stops at this resolutionComparable rapid execution throughout the reference setMatch
Pen pressure patternHeavier on downstrokes of M and P stem, lighter on terminal taperSimilar pressure pattern in R2, R3, R8; R1 more uniform as a thinner-line penNatural variation
SpacingDistinct gap between M unit and P unit; tight internal spacing after PSame spacing habit in all referencesMatch
Flourishes and underlinesNo separate underline; the extended terminal stroke functions as the flourishSame: no underline, extended terminal in all referencesMatch
Placement and sizeSigned vertically along the left side of the artwork on the red sticker field; sized to fit the margin; does not obscure the title barReference crops do not show card orientation; size relative to card is comparable to R2–R8 sticker examplesNatural variation

Examiner notes

Our card is a 2021 Nintendopes Stickers Open Edition artist auto. R2–R8 come from the same issue and likely the same signing period. R1 (Horrorible Kids Series 9 autograph card) is a closely contemporary Magic Marker Art product. No era gap needs to be accounted for. Differences between examples reflect pen (blue vs. black marker), surface color and gloss, and signing speed.

How Crown authenticates autographs: the signature is compared with known examples gathered from Crown's own authenticated cards, independent authenticators and public listings, measured by software, examined by an AI forensic model, and signed off by Crown Grading staff. The decision above is Crown's.
