Dragon Ball Art Card sets emerged in the early 2020s as unlicensed alternatives to official trading card releases, capturing fan interest through independent artistic interpretation. These sets carved out their own niche within the broader trading card community, appealing to collectors seeking unique takes on beloved characters outside traditional licensed offerings. The format reflected growing collector appetite for alternative and art-focused card products during a period of explosive trading card market expansion. Card EX-05 showcases distinctive artwork centered on Dragon Ball's iconic imagery and characters.
