Gym Heroes arrived in 2000 as the first set to feature Gym Leaders as central characters, marking a significant shift in Pokémon TCG storytelling. Released during the trading card boom's golden age, it introduced players and collectors to a new format that emphasized trainer-led decks and strategic gameplay. The set remains beloved for capturing the spirit of the original anime while delivering iconic artwork and memorable cards that defined an era. Sabrina's Jynx showcases the psychic-type Pokémon under the command of Saffron City's Gym Leader. The card appeals to collectors for its connection to Sabrina, a fan-favorite character, and represents the trainer-specific Pokémon concept that made Gym Heroes special. It's a sought-after piece of that foundational set for both gameplay nostalgia and its place in the broader Pokémon collecting narrative.
