Gym Challenge arrived in 2000 as one of the most celebrated sets of the Pokémon Trading Card Game's early years. Released during the franchise's cultural peak, these cards captured the gym leader battles from the original anime series, giving players and collectors their first official depictions of beloved characters in the TCG. The set remains a cornerstone of vintage Pokémon collecting today. Brock's Geodude showcases the rock-type Pokémon under the care of Pewter City's stoic gym leader. The card features appealing artwork that brings Geodude to life, and it represents a formative moment in the TCG when Pokémon were introducing trainers as central characters. Fans and collectors continue seeking these early gym leader cards as nostalgia-driven treasures from the game's golden era.
