Weiss Schwarz Disney100 marked a significant moment in the trading card hobby when Japanese TCG manufacturer Weiss Schwarz celebrated Disney's centennial in 2023. This set bridged two passionate collector communities—anime card enthusiasts and Disney fans—bringing beloved characters into the Weiss Schwarz system. The collaboration became immediately sought-after, establishing itself as a landmark release that introduced many collectors to Japanese card culture while deepening engagement among existing fans. The "Eternal Lovers" Donald Duck card captures one of animation's most enduring characters in a distinctly romantic presentation, unusual for traditional Donald imagery. Collectors are drawn to this card for its charming departure from Duck's typical comedic portrayals, offering a tender perspective that resonates with both Disney purists and Weiss Schwarz players building thematic decks.
