Panini Elite Extra Edition represented the company's premium prospect offering during the final years before losing MLB rights. Released in 2021, this set captured emerging talent at a pivotal moment in baseball card collecting when prospect enthusiasm ran high. The green parallel variants added scarcity tiers that appealed to set builders and those chasing serial-numbered collectibles during an era of renewed industry growth. Colton Cowser appears here as card number 5, showcasing one of baseball's promising young talents. Collectors pursue early prospect cards of players who go on to MLB success, making this a notable entry point for Cowser's collecting history. The Elite Extra Edition brand's focus on up-and-coming players makes it a relevant checkpoint in tracking prospect card evolution.
