Panini Illusions represented one of the final football releases from Panini before the company lost its NFL license to Fanatics in 2023. The 2022 set became notable for its artistic approach to modern card design, featuring stylized imagery and layered visual treatments that departed from traditional photography-heavy releases. As Panini's twilight era wound down, collectors viewed these later sets as the last chapter of an important company's long run in the hobby. This Trevor Lawrence card captures the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback during his early NFL tenure. Lawrence had been the first overall pick in 2021, making his early cardboard releases sought after by those building foundational collections of his career. The artistic presentation typical of Illusions adds visual appeal beyond standard rookie-era offerings.
