The 500 Years in the Future set represents a fascinating departure for One Piece trading cards, imagining the series' world through a speculative sci-fi lens. Released in 2024, this set captured collectors' attention by presenting beloved characters in reimagined futures, blending the franchise's adventure spirit with dystopian and utopian aesthetics. The Super Rare designation signals its relative scarcity within the set's hierarchy. Basil Hawkins appears here in his 500-years-forward iteration, offering collectors a unique interpretation of the Supernova captain. Fans are drawn to alternative universe cards like this one for the creative character redesigns and the opportunity to explore "what if" scenarios that extend beyond the manga's narrative. It's the kind of speculative card that appeals to both devoted character enthusiasts and collectors seeking imaginative departures from canon.
