Dark Phantasma arrived in 2022 as a landmark Japanese set that captured the Pokemon TCG's sustained momentum through that era. This period represented the hobby's maturation following the pandemic boom, with Japanese releases commanding serious collector attention for their design quality and alternate art treatments. Dark Phantasma stood out for its atmospheric aesthetic and strong lineup of competitive playables that shaped the tournament landscape. Gallade V embodies the set's appeal with its striking illustration and the character's enduring popularity among trainers. The V-card designation marked it as a pivotal stage in gameplay, while the Super Rare designation reflects the premium presentation collectors have long pursued. Its presence in Dark Phantasma makes it a natural centerpiece for set builders and those drawn to the card's elegant presentation.
