Pokemon Phantasmal Flames arrived in 2025 as a set celebrating the ethereal and mysterious side of the Pokemon universe. The reverse holo treatment became a defining aesthetic feature of the era, offering collectors an alternative to traditional full-art cards while maintaining the classic card frame. This set marked a significant moment in the hobby's continued evolution, bridging nostalgia with contemporary design sensibilities that appealed to both longtime enthusiasts and newer collectors discovering the trading card game. Gloom, card number 2, captures the moody charm of this grass-poison type Pokemon. The reverse holo pattern creates an atmospheric quality that emphasizes the card's darker tones and organic imagery. Collectors appreciate Gloom both as a foundational Pokemon in the Oddish evolutionary line and for how effectively this particular artwork showcases the visual potential of the reverse holo format.
