Phantasmal Flames arrived in 2025 as one of Pokémon TCG's exploration of ethereal and supernatural aesthetics. The set distinguished itself through atmospheric artwork and a focus on ghost-type and spectral interpretations of familiar creatures. During a period of creative expansion in the modern card game, this set appealed to collectors seeking visually distinctive releases that pushed beyond conventional designs. Krookodile's reverse holo treatment captures the Dark-type crocodilian in dramatic fashion, its aggressive stance rendered with the set's signature ethereal effects. The card showcases why Krookodile maintains collector interest—powerful and distinctive in the Pokédex, it attracts fans of reptilian Pokémon and competitive players alike. This particular version appeals to those pursuing complete Phantasmal Flames collections and reverse holo enthusiasts.
