Surging Sparks arrived in 2024 as part of Pokémon TCG's modern era expansion lineup, continuing the game's evolution with contemporary artwork and mechanics. The set maintained collector interest during a period when the hobby had matured beyond pandemic-era volatility, appealing to both competitive players and those seeking visually striking contemporary releases. Latios represents the psychic-type legendaries that have captivated trainers since the early 2000s games. The reverse holo treatment enhances the card's appeal, creating a shimmer effect across the illustration that draws the eye. Collectors pursue this version for its aesthetic presentation and the enduring popularity of the Latios line.
