Card Notes
The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth set arrived in 2023 as Magic: The Gathering's ambitious licensed crossover with Tolkien's legendary works. This was a landmark release that brought the beloved fantasy epic into MTG's gameplay and collecting spheres, attracting both longtime Magic players and Middle-earth enthusiasts. The set's thematic design and cultural significance made it one of 2023's most anticipated releases. Rising of the Day captures a moment of hope and renewal central to Tolkien's narrative. The card's artwork evokes the visual language of the films and books, resonating with collectors drawn to the set's storytelling elements and its intersection of two major fantasy properties.
