Burning Shadows arrived in 2017 during an era when Pokémon TCG was experiencing renewed collector interest. The set introduced Generation VII Pokémon alongside beloved classics, bridging the gap between the newer Alola region and established favorites. Its diverse card pool and beautiful holo patterns made it a popular release for both players and collectors building their collections during this pivotal period. Darkrai, as a legendary Psychic-type with a haunting presence, has long captivated collectors. This holo version captures the Pokémon's mysterious nature through striking artwork that emphasizes its dark appeal. The card remains popular among those drawn to darker-toned legendary Pokémon and serves as a solid representation of the set's quality illustration work.
