This Japanese promotional card commemorates the 2015 Hoopa & the Clash of Ages movie event, part of Pokemon's sustained effort to tie trading cards with theatrical releases. The giveaway Black Star Promo series represents an important distribution channel of the era, where movie premieres and special events introduced exclusive cards directly to collectors and casual fans, creating memorable touchpoints between the TCG community and Pokemon's broader entertainment offerings. Hoopa, the legendary Pokémon at the heart of that year's film, appears here as the featured subject of this giveaway promo. Collectors pursue this card for its connection to a specific moment in Pokemon history and its representation of a classic legendary—one of the franchise's most visually distinctive designs. These event promos remain sought-after for their cultural significance and relative scarcity compared to standard retail releases.
