Destined Rivals represents 2025's effort to capture competitive Pokémon TCG energy while celebrating the full breadth of the Pokédex. Released during a period of sustained collector interest, the set balances nostalgic appeal with contemporary design sensibilities. Reverse holo versions became particularly sought after for their visual impact, offering collectors an alternative presentation that highlights the card's artwork through the distinctive foil pattern. Gorebyss, the elegant evolution of Corphish, draws collectors with its serene underwater aesthetic and graceful design. As a Stage 1 evolution, it occupies a meaningful place in deck building and collection completion, while reverse holo variants appeal to those prioritizing visual presentation and the refined shimmer the format provides.
