Pokémon Destined Rivals arrived in 2025 as a standard expansion that continued the modern era's focus on competitive playability and character-driven themes. The set maintained the contemporary design language collectors had grown familiar with, offering a mix of sought-after Pokémon and accessible pull rates that appealed to both players and collectors building their collections during this period. Squawkabilly, a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in recent generations, appears here as a reverse holographic variant. The card captures the bird's distinctive personality through its vibrant artwork. Reverse holos remain popular with collectors who appreciate the full-art aesthetic and alternative presentation these cards offer.
